Bush Moving Swiftly To Assemble Economic Team

Gee, what's the hurry? Another former Goldman Sachs chairman may come to Washington: Steven Friedman is being considered for White House economic adviser.

This article mentions Commerce Secretary Don Evans as a candidate for Treasury Secretary. Larry Kudlow nixed this on a Friday afternoon CNBC show, but who knows? "California financier" Parsky of California appears to be a front-runner. Yes, Parsky who? Presumably just my own hopeless East Coast insularity.

And yes, it was only Friday that I said either these appointments were announced quickly, or the story shifts to "an administration in disarray". Well, perhaps this is actually a blog in disarray.

UPDATE: Or both. Thanks for the reminder.
