Listen To The Rhythm Of The Falling Rain
Daniel Drezner, in a post about the likelihood of Europe emerging as a counterwight to the US
, derides their demographic outlook.
Can I give him a prize as the thousandth person to present this information? OK, this is a rough estimate: I myself have worried about Europe's demographics about five hundred times in conversation, so I am guessing that the rest of the world has made up the difference.
My question - is there anyone out there with an alternative view? Someone with a theory of European demographics that has a happy ending? A bit of contrarian thinking would be refreshing. That said, I suspect most of us believe that two plus two equals four, which suggests that not all "group-think" is wrong.
